Overall, it is clear to show that the proportion of overweight males was higher than that of overweight females, while the figures for both genders increased over a period 30 years.
In 1980, 40% of men in Australia were overweight and this figure rose by 18% in 1990. It is also noticeable that the proportion of overweight males reached a peak of about 65% in 2000, it then drops slightly to 60%.
Turn to the remaining genders, we can see that the figure of overweight Australian females was lower than that of overweight males.
