Meanwhile, in the period from 1997 to 1998, the graph also witnessed a dramatic growth in the amount of money allocated to books via the internet, rising by 5 million from 11 million to 16 million
In addition, there was a significant difference in the budget for online books among 4 UK countries, including Northern Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland. While the budget's England people for books purchased on the Internet accounted for four-fifth of the total expenditure by UK country, the pattern was reversed for Northern Ireland, where the figure was only 1%. The 2 other countries, Wales and Scotland, were relatively low in buying online books, with 10% and 8% respectively.
