The line graph illustrate percentage of population aged over 60 years in three countries korea, canada and Finland from 1950 to current year and also projects the population percentage until year 2050.
It is clear from the line graph that in all three nations, the percentage population of sixty years old people has continously grown from year 1950 and will continue to increase until year 2050. In year 1950, canada had most aged population compare to other two countries and korea had lowest population over 60 years of age. Interestingly, according to projection, korea will take the first spot and canada will be at third position in year 2050.
In 1950, korea had only 5% of population aged above 60 years of age and there is slight decrease in the population until 1980 when korea had approximately 3% of population over 60 years of age. Although from 1980 to 2020, there is gradual increment making almost one tenth of population age 60 plus in year 2020, there will be significant increase in the population making just below one third of the country population eventually in year 2050.
