The chart below shows the total number of minutes(in billions) of telephonic calls in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.
The chart explains the information about the categories of telephonic calls made by UK people over 8 years between 1995 and 2002 in terms of Minutes.
Overall, it is clear that calls related to the National and international category and the calls made by the people in all the cities through mobiles had experienced an upward trend throughout the entire period, whereas the local line category had followed a moderate downward trend in the entire period.
In detail, the number of minutes spent on mobile phones in the United Kingdom increased from 2 billion to almost 40 billion from 1995 to 2002. Similarly, pupils who made calls to International and National countries by telephone had contributed close to 40 billion minutes during the year 1995, then there was a gradual increase in the usage of international calls to about 50 billion minutes in the year 1999. Moreover, they reached a value of around 60 billion minutes in the next seven years.
In contrast, the communication type named locals (fixed lines) used by the Europe people during the beginning of the period was about 71 billion minutes. Although there was a moderate hike seen during the mid-period nearly to a value of about 90 billion minutes, but the same category dropped to the original count which was 71 billion minutes at the end of the period.
