Overall, Islip town will experiencing considerable changes in the next stages of plan. The main development in this area will be the construction of carriageway surrounding the town in the next following years.
As can be seen clearly on current map, there are still little facilities on center, while the countryside located in the north of town. Shops are located around the side of the main road, while a big area in the south are used to build housed for residents. The limited field are occupied by a southern park and southwestern school. Both of these structures are connect to main road by the side road.
Turing to the plan map, a circular road that goes around the city center attracts attentions. This road are expected to be built is a Dual carriageway. All new facilities are predicted to be located in the middle heart of the roads. the pedestrians only are projected to replace main road, while shops are demolished to make way for shopping centre and new housing. The southern housings park and school are not only planned to be remained unchanged, but also increase the size of park and school. Bus station and Car park are expected to be built next to the shopping centre.
