The given bar graph illustrates total number of minutes (in billions) of different call types in the UK. Overall, it can be observed that calls from mobile phones has significantly increased over the years.
Telephone calls done locally from fixed line were the highest in all years compared to the other two category. Local calls by telephone had an increasing trend and was peaked for two years just before its usage started declining. Around 90 billion minutes of calls were made locally by telephone in the year 1998 and 1999 which was the highest minutes ever communicated by any category. National and international calls made by fixed line saw a gradual rise in minutes by just 5 billions minutes each year and was same in 2001 and 2002 at around 60 billion minutes.On the other hand, mobiles were least used in 1995 at hardly 5 billions minutes used for local or national or international calls. However, usage of mobiles dramatically increased over the years and around 45 billion minutes were communicated in 2002.
To sum up, calls made locally by telephone were the highest and that made nationally or internationally and by mobile phone saw a surge in the trend over the years.
