The chart illustrates housing preferences among people who lived in the British cities of London, Oxford and Cambridge in the year 2005.
This diagram illustrates the percentage of housing preferences in Britain in 2005.
The first thing to mention is that flat was the most preference of people in London. In detail, in London, 60 % of people voted that flat was their housing preferences, whereas they voted less than 10% for detached houses. However, the popularity of terraced houses was similar to the popularity of semi- detached houses in London which were around 16%-18%. Another residential area that people like to live in flats is Oxford. Living in flat is also the most popular in Oxford. According to almost 30 % of people voted for flat.
The second thing to note is that the percentage of detached houses was the highest in Cambridge. Even though this type of accommodation was the least popular in London, Cambridge citizens are more likely to live in detached houses regarding to 35 % of people voted. However, Cambridge residents gave only 28 % for semi- detached houses, 20 % for flats and 16 % for terraced houses.
Lastly, in Oxford, the popularity of all styles of housing except terraced houses is very similar. For instance, the percentage of detached houses was around 25 % which was less than semi- detached houses by only 3 % and less than flats by around 4 %.
Overall, only one thing in common between people, who live in London and Oxford, is that they voted highly for flats as their housing preferences. On the other hand, people in Cambridge preferred to live in detaches houses rather than other types of accommodation.

Sorry, essay e-rater took the second paragraph as a conclusion paragraph, because of this 'The first thing to mention is that flat was the most preference of people in London.'. But it is a paragraph for London only. The thing why essay E-rater gives warnings because of too many words. It is hard to develop 253 words in 20 minutes. Need to compare and contrast more instead of putting a lot of numbers.
was the most preference of people in London.
