The bar chart highlighted the proportion of Australian citizens consuming coffee and tea in five metropolises last month.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the habit of going to a cafe for coffee or tea was the most common activity in these cities. Another interesting point is that the percentage of people who chose instant coffee was always significantly higher than that of those purchasing fresh one.
Looking at the details, as regards Melbourne and Sydney, the rate of individuals buying and drinking either coffee or tea at a cafe in Melbourne accounted for around 63% which was slightly higher than the figure in Sydney, about 2%. The percentages of people purchasing instant coffee in the two cities reached approximately 48%, and 45%, respectively; meanwhile, the figures for fresh coffee were witnessed as high as each other, at around 43%.
Turning to the three remaining regions, it was estimated that there was about 63% of the total inhabitants in Hobart went out for the two drinks, followed by Brisbane with 55.5% and Adelaide with nearly 50%. The rate of instant coffee consumed in these cities was similarly above 50% in the last four weeks. At the same time, in Brisbane, Adelaide, and Hobart whose proportions of fresh coffee were all below 40%, which were 34%, 34%, and 38%, in turn.
