The provided bar chat below sketches out how many people residing in five different Australian cities bought coffee and tea in the last four weeks and their drinking habits.
Overall, the percentage of citizens purchasing fresh coffee was lower than that of individuals buying instant one. In addition, the number of people going to a cafe for coffee or tea was highest in Melbourne and Hobart.
At first glance, fresh coffee in all five cities experienced the lowest figures, which were just under 35% for Brisbane and Adelaide, 40% for Hobart and 45% for Melbourne and Sydney. Meanwhile, instant coffee witnessed a contrast percentage, with Hobart accounting for highest figure ( nearly 55%) and Sydney taking up lowest proportion ( over 45%).
It can be seen from the chart that the number of city dwellers going to a cafe for coffee or tea in Melbourne and Hobart were highest, at south of 65%. Similarly, the percentage of those who came to cafe for coffee or tea in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide were at north of 60%, over 55% and approximately 50% respectively.
