The local council has decided on constructing a block of flats on the park opposite the place where you live. Write a letter to the editor of the local newspaper protesting against this move. Make suggestions as to how people can stop this development.
Dear Sir,
My name is James. I have been living in sector 17 of Konark society since my childhood. Near to our society there is a green park where I had grown up playing with my friends.
Last week, we had received a circular that Local council is facing shortage of a land to construct new flats to accommodate more government staffs. This is the reason; probably, authorities had chosen Swarn Jayanti Park to built 200 flats. Construction work would start soon may be early next year.
Undeniably, the park that is present in our society is the only green area that provide many benefits to all people living in the complete Konark society. Firstly, all age generations are using the park for jogging, taking a walk, doing morning Yoga and exercises. Secondly, admittedly, it is a home to many endangered birds. Adolescents use the park for playing purpose in the evening after coming from schools or tuition's.
Thus, it is my personal request that your local newspaper publish an article about the issue on the front page. In addition, my suggestion to all occupants living in society is to come forward and sign a petition against this move and send to city Mayor.
I am looking forward for your swift response on this matter.
Yours Faithfully
James
