This report represents two line charts delineating the comparison of three electrical appliances onwership and their hours of usage in household chores per week in each residence from 1920 to 2019.
Generally speaking, the accommodations containing fridge and a vacuum cleaners incresed in the definate period. By contrast, the trend of having a washing machine remained constant after a gradual rise in the first three years.
In the first line chart, In 1920, washing machines were the most common appliance in accommodations followed by vacuum cleaner. Both were approximately at 40% and 30% respectively. Although, fridge was not properly available in houses in the starting year, its figure exhibited a significant growth in the following years to reach a peak of aroud 100% in 1980. Moreover, the figure for cleaners also demonstrated a constant rise and overtook the proportion of washing machines in 1960 and rose to highest point at 2000. Despite exhibiting a gentle growth in the opening three years of the graph the number of housholds having a washing machine remained below 80% in the next 59 years.
Turning towards the second line graph, in 1920, the units of domestic work per week peaked at 50%. This trend saw a drastic decline in numbers till 1980 and stayed under 20% in the remaining period of the definite time.
