Tidal Power
The reading text and lecture are both about tidal power energy. The author of this atricle state that tidal energy is most suitable and sustainable way to produced energy. The lecturer is casting some doubt on the point mention in the reading text and placing his own perspectice about the tidal energy.
First of all, the author is explaining how this tidal energy is produced by building the dam at the place where the river is meet to the sea. The door is keepimg open during the high tide, then close the door. So, from this power of water the turbine is rotating and the electric power is generated. The lecturer is in fully support of this statement made by the author.
Secondly, The reading passage says that tidal energy is the non-pooluting way, renewable way, and no emitating greenhuose gases while, generating electric power. In contrast, the lecturer is argue with the author and giving his own opinion. The lecturer think that, there are many drawback of this system. He says that, there are many effect of tidal energy on the environment. Fist, it altering the quallity of water by changing the salinity of the water. that is widely effect the wild life and also fishery of that area.Moreover, the mud and more sand particle is deposite in the river so, it will cause the paralysis in the fish. Additionaly, this energy production system sometime, destroy the natural habitate of many marine life like, the fish is unble to migrate through the marine wate to river water. On top of that, the estuary of that area also affect the local fisher men. So, it will ultimately affect the national economy.
In conclusion, The reading and lecture are both about tidal energy. The lecturer is effectively counter all the point made by the author in the reading text.
