The given chart illustrates the major reasons why an African country’s teenagers use their phones from 2016 to 2019.
Overall, teenagers in one African country use phones for 4 main purposes including social networks, email, digital camera and phone calls. Most of them serve for social networks and this reason had a tendency of rising.
In 2016, a half people in the survey use for social networks, this purpose witnessed a slight decrease to 48%, but it rose again and reach a peak of 56% in 2019. The number of teenager using for email accounted for 25% at the beginning of the period, this figure was 10% higher than compared to digital camera, and 15% more than phone calls. While the percentage of social system declined to 24%, the rate of calling increased by 3% in 2017.
In 2018, the percentage of teenagers using phones to send email and to make a call continued to fall, but the figure of digital camera experienced a growth to 18%. At the end of the period, only 5% people surveyed use for taking photos, whereas the figures of social system and email were 19% and 20% respectively
