The two maps illustrate how Grange Park has been changed from the opening in 1920 to the present.
As can be seen from the pictures, the park has been dramatically transformed after the construction of several facilities over the given period.
In 1920, visitors could enter the park from the northern lane on Arnold avenue or southern lane on Eldon street, but today they can enter through the underground car park. There was a pond for watering plants on the northern corner. In the southeast corner was a space for a glass house. Not only was there a large fountain in the middle of the park, but also there were two rose gardens to the north and south of the stage. Besides, a stage for musicians has also been erected on the left-hand side of the entrance from the north.
At the moment, the two entrances are still remained at the top and bottom, but there is a new entrance near a water feature for an underground park. The glass house was demolished to make way for the water feature in the bottom right corner. In the top right corner, a café has been built on the original site of the rose garden. There is a play area for children next to the café. The most significant change is in the centre of the park, where the fountain has been knocked down and replaced by a new rose garden with seats around it. On the left-hand side of the Grange park, a concert amphitheatre has been constructed to replace the stage for musicians.
