The graph shows the average time spent by four car manufacturers to produce vehicles at their US factories.
The line graph gives information about how much time four categories of factories in Britain manufactured transportation from 1998 to 1005.
In general, it can be seen that the amount of time General Motors spent on producing vehicles had a downward trend, while the rest of the manufacturers showed marked fluctuation.
At the beginning of the period, General Motors accounted for the highest figure for manufacturing a car, at 32 hours, and 4 hours more than Ford did. After three years, the average time to produce a car at the Ford plant significantly increased and outlooked the figure for General Motors, at 31 hours, but later decreased dramatically to 22 hours in 2005. From 2001 to 2005, numbers decreased considerably and reached 21 hours in the General Motor Company.
Both Honda and Toyota had the same patterns in 1998, at 22 hours for producing a car. The line for Honda went down until 1999, the opposite trend for Toyota. From 2001 to 2002, Honda and Toyota had a similar amount of time manufacturing vehicles, at 24 hours before going down, and fell to a low point of 20 hours in 2005.
