In the following year (2001) the proportion of internet users in Canada was two fold that of the initial year and then, the figure significantly improved to about 60% in 2003. After that, the proportion of Canadians using the internet increased sharply to about 80% in 2007 and in the final year it is shown that all Canadians accessed the internet. Conversely, The number of Americans using the internet in 1999 was the largest, and it doubled in the following two years. Between 2001 and 2005, the figure showed a significant increase to about 70%. From 2007 to 2007, the number of internet users in the USA grew marginally and ended the period at just 80%.
In Mexico, at the beginning of the period, approximately 5% of Mexicans used the internet and the proportion of internet users in Mexico rose to about 10% next year, followed by a steady increase between 2001 and 2005.
