TPO 19
The main idea of both the reading and the passage is about whether companies should employ buzzing techniques, which is a new method of advertising, or not. Considering this, the author offers three reason in order to show that the buzzing technique is not proper. The lecturer, who works a buzzer part-time, on the other hand, not only refutes the author's assessment, but also asserts that the announced option runs counter to the ways the reading just argued. The lecturer demonstrates three reasons to reject the options in the passage.
The first criticism of the passage against which the lecture argues is that buzzers may be paid to praise products; hence, the may not tell the truth. As stated by the man, companies find people who utilize their products and like them. The buzzers like the lecturer get paid to talk about products that they like. So, consumers get the truth from buzzers. Therefore, it is a fallacious conclusion to that that buzzers mislead consumers.
Moreover, unlike the passage which claims that consumers believe what buzzers says, the man claims that people constantly ask a lot of questions about a products which he talks about it such as its price and services. Unless, consumers believe that the product is appropriate, they will not buy the product.
Finally, the lecture contradicts the fallacy of the passage that buzzing method have a harmful effect on human beings' relationships, and it spreads dishonesty among individuals, saying that if a company’s products is not good, the company will not recruit buzzers in order to promote it. Indeed, it is not true conclusion that buzzing damages people's relationships, rather buzzers help people to buy products and pave the way for being honest.
All in all, the man maintains that all of the three reasons offered in the passage is misleading.
