Over the period of 3 decades since 1972, an enormous discrepancy had observed in the investment of cars and foods whereas other item expenses varied but on the smaller scales.
In detail, in the fall of 1972, approximately 40% of share consumed by food where after 30 years, this share dipped by 25% and ended at 14%, in the year 2002. Meanwhile, second most enormous discrepancy found in cars expenditure, where reversely, car expense rose by 75% and in 2002, ended at 40%. For petrol expenditure, it remained stable over a time span, which was 10%.
For the rest of the least variated expenditures, monetary share for the restaurant had increased from 8% in fall 1972 to 14% in fall 2002. Eventually, significant change also observed in this - restaurant - as well. Alongside, the investment on furniture and books become less popular among the Canadian people, as in this both item expenses had significant dropped and ended at 9% and 3% ,respectively. However, computer expenses turned to three-fold in the year 2002, which was also noticeable variation.
