The two maps of village of Stokeford from 1930 and 2010 shoes how the village changed in the course of 80 years.
We can see from these maps that Stokeford was definitely modernized and there was a significant increase in the population by looking at the number of new houses.
In 1930, Stakeford had a large farmland area near the River Stoke and next to the primary school which in 2010 was replaced by new houses to accommodate new settlers. Also for this purpose, shops next to post office was also removed. The gardens were also shrunked to add few more houses. The large house inside the garden was extended and was converted to a retirement home.
In 80 years, few of the things remained the same like the bridge and the post office. However, the primary school was expanded and modernised.
