The following chart illustrates the results of a British survey taken in 2005 related to Housing preferences of UK people.
The chart represents the proportion of British people's preferences with four different types of houses in UK in 2005.
Overall, majority British people preferred flat in London, whereas detached and semi-detached houses were more popular among the people of Oxford and Cambridge.
Looking in details, about 58% citizen of London preferred flats while the rest of housing types were accounted for lesser than 20% preferences.
Meanwhile, detached houses were highly preferable by the citizens from Oxford (of about 35%) than semi-detached (of close to 28%). This figure was same for people of Oxford for preference in semi-detached houses while detached houses were lesser of around 23% and closet o 30% for flat.
It is apparent that, terraced houses were the least popular types of houses which consisted of lesser than 20% for all people from UK.
