First, the article claims that there is not any suitable substitution for literature books which has same intellectual motivation. However, the speaker opposes this point and explains that literature is not the only subject for intellectual stimulation. She added that for instance science and art are some other subjects that have same stimulation effect among people.
Second, the text points out that people today read superficial books instead of literature and poems. In contrary, the lecturer refutes this opinion and explains that the culture is not only about literature. She added that people cultural habitat have changed today and people used to see movies and hear music as some types of suitable substitution of literature.
Finally, the article claims that because of lack of audience, there is not proper investment in literature. However, the professor opposes this point by stating that it's caused by author's fault. She explains that authors today write books which are so difficult to taught by early generation who like to read a book with a contemporary literature.
