The lecture and the reading both discussed vessels. The reading claims that archaeologist discovered a special jars which contain coppers and claim that this vessel were batteries for electricity but they were not used for electric batteries. The lecture states that none of explanation by the reading are convinced.
First of all, the reading passage posits that it the vessels used for a batteries, they should be conduct some mental wires. According to the reading, there was not any mental wire that located near the vessels. The lecture contradict this idea by stating that vessels were discovered by local people not by archaeologist and the all statement by the reading are not prove there was not any vessels.
In addition, the reading hold the view that by ruins of the Seleucia, copper cylinders were similar to the inside of the copper cylinders of jars. According to the reading, the shape of the cylinders and jars were the same and the cylinders were used for sacred text instead of using for generating electricity. In contrast, the lecture dismisses this point due to the fact that it is true that cylinders and jars was the same shape but the statement which said by reading not proved people did not used electricity.
Lastly, the reading passage claims that if people had a vessels for batteries, how can used as daily life because the batteries were totally inactive to the people's life. However, the lecture refutes this claim by stating that it was an invisible power and it shake someone who teach the vessels as a result they used for a batteries. According to the lecture, batteries used for healing and relieve pains.
