Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the claim and the reason on which that claim is based.
When people's basic needs are not being met, nations should suspend government funding for art is very myopic idea. If people needs are in very bad position, nations should take serious cautions. And also, only suspending government fund for art is not sufficient method, nations should look also another unnecessary expenditures that governments pay in general.
If we consider people's basic needs which are not being met sufficiently, governments should look another ways, how much funding they have to pay for another departments. Maybe government pay approximately same fund for amusements park, museums or etc. These are also not basic needs of people, why government only concentrate on Art department, they should investigate, and we are pretty sure that, there is a lot unnecessary payments that governments pay now without realizing rather than using that money for their own people.
Moreover, we all know that many people also work in art area, they require basic needs as well. If nations starts to suspend government funds, what will happen to artists, they need money also to sustain their lives. Additionally, some people are very serious about art favor, if they suspend art funds, maybe art pieces will not be shown on art galleries or museums. As a result of unseen art pieces may disappoint art lover for whom art is also basic needs. They can not live without seeing art pieces.
It is true that government should suspend some unnecessary funds when societies' basic needs are not satisfied. However, instead of suspend, they can lower the funds up a time when governments economic situation is getting better. If they lower funds, not only from art, little by little from all other departments, their actions would be more profitable.
In conclusion, art is little thing comparing to other unnecessary funding payments that government has to pay. If they want to satisfy people's hungry and unemployment needs, they should take serious prevention. Also some people feel satisfied with art pieces some people not. To be adequate and to make happy all of people instead of suspending only the art, governments should reduce not only art funding payments but also other departments' funding payment as well.
