The chart compares the proportions of four different age groups going to the cinema in the UK between 1990 and 2010.
It is clear that the 44-54 ages group by far had the highest percentage of cinema attendances. Additionally, all the figures in the line graph witnessed increases during the research period.
In 1990, the rate of attendees between tha ages of 44 and 54 was highest, at around 37%, while the figure for 34-to 44-year-olds was slightly lower, at 36%. Meanwhile, the proportion of England people aged 14 to 24 attended the cinema was significantly lower, at only 15%, compared to 23% of cinema attendances from 24-34 age group.
In 2010, the percentage of people aged 44 to 45 in the UK went to the movie theater increased dramatically to over 50%, whereas the rate for individuals between 34 and 44 years old reached 43%. In addition, around 32% of England people from 24 to 34 years old visited the cinema, in comparison with 20% of the youngest age group.
