The line chart compares changes in the number of incidents happened in burglary, car theft and robbery crime between 2003 to 2012 in Newport city.
It is clear that the numbers of incidents in robbery and car theft crime remained stable during the period research. Additonal, while the figure for burglary experienced the most dramatic change from 2003 to 2012.
In 2003, there were nearly 3500 incidents in burglary crime, which was highest, while the figure for car theft crime was a bit lower , at about 2800 incidents. Meanwhile, slightly more than 600 incidents happened in robbery crime. In 2008, the number of incidents in burglary and robbery crime gradually fell and reached the lowest points of over 1000 and at 500 incidents respectively, while car theft’s figure stood at over 2000 incidents.
In 2012, there was a dramatic drop in the number of burglary incidents of 2000 incidents to nearly 1000 incidents. At the same time, the figures for cart theft and robbery almost were the same at the beginning time.
