THE CHARTS GIVE INFORMATION ABOUT TWO GENRES OF tv PROGRAMMES WATCHED BY MEN AND WOMEN AND FOUR DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS IN AUSTRALIA.
The graphs give information about how male and female in four age group in Australia watch two types of TV programmes.
It is clear that in reality shows sector, the proportion of female watchers is bigger than that of male, wheareas, in terms of game shows, male and female almost have the same percentage.
In reality shows sphere, the percentage of male watchers (37%) is approximately half the percentage of female (70%). There is a small difference in the fingures of the 35 -40 year olds and the over 45 age group, at 69% and 68% respectively. The proportion of 25 -34 year olds is 60%, followed by 51% of the 16 – 24 age group.
Game shows has no significant difference between the proportions of two genders, 61% is the percentage of male and that of female is 60%. The highest fingure can be seen in the over 45 age group (70%), which is 20% higher than that of the second highest in 16 -24 age group (50%). The other two age groups has lower percentage, 41% of the 35 -44 year olds and 39% of the 25 -34 age group.
