work with mistakes 18/09/2017
You have a full-time job and are also doing a part-time evening course.
You now find that you cannot continue the course.
Write a letter to the course tutor. In your letter.
Describe the situation
Explain why you cannot continue at this time
Say what action you would like to take.
Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing to inform you that I will no longer attend the course.
I work in an insurance company and the boss told me that taking a Business English course would considerably increase my chances on getting promoted to a manager position. It appears that studying the course for two terms has just paid off because one week ago I was promoted to a new post – the head of human resources department.
Although continue studying is desirable, it appears impossible. Firstly, the novel job often requires working extended hours and now my working hours overlap with the studying. Secondly, my new work assumes a lot of travelling around the country and abroad.
Finally, I would like to get a full refund for the next term because the money was paid in advance; it will be convenient to get the whole sum on my credit card. I would also like to sell textbooks for a half of their price, maybe some of your students would like to buy them.
I am waiting for your prompt response.
Sincerely yours,
Eugene Dubinchuk
