The reading states that new painting has been found and it cast dout on the posibility that if is it belongs to Rembrandt or not and provide three reasons of support. Nevertheless, The professor explains that the painting is a part of art from Rembrandt and oposses each of reasons in the reading.
First, the reading claims that the painting has some inconsistency to that of Rembrandt one. However the professor refutes this point. She says that maybe after a hundred year of painting, some one tried to make the color deeper by over painting some part of the painting.
Second, the reading avers that the style of Rembrandt paiting is ligth and shadow but in this painting contradicts the idea. The professor cast doubt on this point by saying that light shade has bee removed over time. She explains that simple color reflect the light and other color absorb it. so light and shadow are realistic in this painting.
Third, the passage claims that some examination has been carried out and the result reveals that the painting has been painted on some piece of wood wich is not the charicteristics of Rembrandt painting. Nonetheless, the professor oposess this point by saing that the canvas is a integrated piece of wood. She explains that large wood are more variable and the painting is composed of a single wood.
