The reading passage suggested that using computers and storing patient's data have a lots of advantage and suggest three reasons to support its claim, however, the professor cast doubt on this claim.
First, according to the reading passage, using computer could decrease costs due to the fact that there is no need to store paper-base data and only need for entering information to the computer, in contrast the lecterer mentioned that doctores usually keep this information for emergency situations as a result this decline in cost is insignificant and doctors have to pay extra for storing data in computer.
Second, the passage explain that by using computers the human error could be eliminated, because the mistakes during writing or transcription could decreas, the lecterer refutes this point by saying that doctors use pen to take notes by hand and office worker enter the data to the computer, consequntly, the error are still possible by worker interpretion.
Finally, the reading passage describe possible ways to gather patient data for other researches and this information could use for further doctors, the professor challenged this point by saying that patient information are private data, beside that for using this information we must have permission of patient and there are a number of stick rules for accessing this data.
