In contrast, France generated electricity thrice as much as Germany with respect to 'Nuclear' (76% vs 23%). 'Renewables' in Germany produced electricity (17.4%), a bit higher than France (13.7%).
Turning to 'Renewables', 'Biomass' in France generated 8.1% electricity which was nowhere near as close to Germany with 39.3%. However, 'Hydroelectric' remained the top most root of electricity (France) constituting four fifths (80.5%), compared to Germany with only 17.75% 'Hydroelectric'. Wind (10.5%) and Solar (0.9%) sources in France were far lower than Germany with 'Wind' at 36.9% and 'Solar' at 6.1% correspondingly. And there was a marked difference in the net electricity generation with 560 billion kWh (Germany) vs 510 Billion kWh (France).
