IT is clear that there were two tendencies on this graph, include the downward trend of UK and Sweden, the upward trend of Italy and Portugal. The most impressive thing in this picture is Sweden - the nation succeeded in decreasing the emissions,
To be specific, UK and Sweden are two countries that had numerous emissions in 1967, which were under 11 and 9 respectively but they showed the fall down over a period of 40 years. In 2007, the figure for Uk was about 8.7, still was the biggest number in four nations. Besides, Sweden showed a great effort to reduce the fumes with the evidence is that the number of this country went down rapidly and reached the bottom at under 6 in 2007.
In contrast, Italy and Portugal used to be the countries had a small number of emissions in 1967 but they also rose it up from 1967 to 2007. The figure for Portugal growth constantly and peaked at above 5 in 2007 while the number of Italy jumped to around 8 in 1997 and remained until 2007.
