The charts give information about the amount of exports (millions of tonnes) moving through Rotterdam port in Holland to various global destinations in 2002 and 2012; and also the % rates of tax imposed on these exports by the receiving countries. Write a report summarizing the information. Select and describe the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The tables indicates information about the volume of exports (units are measured in tonnes), transporting through Rotterdam port in Holland to different destinations in 2002 and 2012, as well as the percent rates of the tax imposed on these exports by the receiving countries.
As is observed, Holland imported most of their commodities to Europe and USA with 6900 and 4200 millions of tonnes, respectively in the year 2002. However, it slightly decreased in the year 2012 to 6400 and 3900, respectively. Ironically, the region Asia Pacific and Australasia increased their imports from 800 and 700, to 2550 and 2300, respectively. Ultimately, we can see that Holland exported 18600 millions of tonnes good in total.
Regarding to the percent of tax imposition, it is obvious that tax imposed on the goods of USA and Latin America fluctuated between 1% to 3% during the years 2002 to 2012. Initially, in 2002 taxation was not required, however, after ten years it has imposed 2% of taxation on the goods. As a Europe, tax increased with 3% from 5% to 8%, while it is plunging down with 3% in both Asia Pacific and Australasia.
Overall, both of two tables illustrates the definite connection between the amount of exports moving through Rotterdam port in Holland as well as the percentage of taxation imposed by destination of countries in ten years.
