The map below is of the town of Garlsdon. A new supermarket (S) is planned for the town. The map shows two possible sites for the supermarket.
The given map illustrates the possible locations of the new supermarket in Garlsdon which has 65000 populations.
Overall, it is obviously the first probable site is in the countryside and the second one is in a town center.
If the supermarket is built in the countryside, it would be more beneficial for people who live there and no far from Hindon which has 10000 people. Moreover, this location can offer advantages for the population living in the countryside to buy their goods.
If the supermarket is located in the town center, it would be more strategic because of the location near the housing area, not far from the industrial area, and has three junctions from Gransdon, Bransdon, Hindon, in the south-east, south-west, and north-west respectively.
Uniquely, the second location (S2) is more important than S1 because it is near Gransdon which has 29000 populations. So the movement of sales will be increased accordingly. As consequence, we can consider S2 is better than S1.
