The diagram illustrates that how the weather information is collected by Australian Bureau of Meteorology, to provide accurate weather forecast. It's shown that there are four main steps in weather broad-casting, those are, collecting the incoming information, analyzing and forecasting the data, preparing the broadcast and finally broadcast is uploaded on media.
As shown in the diagram, the information is collected by three main sources, such as; satellite, radar and the drifting buoy. the collected raw data from the satellite is observed from satellite photos of Australia, whereas, the information from radar is presented on the radar screen. The synoptic charts are obtained from the drifting buoy, which is placed in the sea, in Australia. After collecting the data, it is analyzed, and then organised in the computer. The organised data is then prepared for the broadcasting of the weather conditions.Lastly, an understandable report is created for the public broadcast.
Overall, the broadcast is then delivered to the public via television news, radios and as a recorded announcement in the devices like telephones. So, that the people of Australia are informed regarding the weather conditions.
