There is no doubt that some scandals can help expose hideous secrets and prevent the cover-up problems from persisting. From the exposure of Libor scandal in which the Barclays Bank manipulated the key interest rate to their own benefit, to the Watergate scandal which lead to the resignation of President Nixon, scandals have always succeeded in stopping the unfairness. However, in my opinion, this may not always be helpful to the society because scandals can give rise to new problems and scandals can also be forged.
