Claim: The best way to understand the character of a society is to examine the character of the men and women that the society chooses as its heroes or its role models.
Reason: Heroes and role models reveal a society's highest ideals.
The issue about heroes and characters of the society has been debatable for a long period of time for several reasons. Although some heroes possess some of the characters that are valued by majority of people in certain society, they do not reveal a society’s highest ideals because role models are always chosen according to the extent they inspired and motivated the majority of people in a certain society.
