Given are figures providing a comparison of money spent on shopping in four countries namely: Belgium, Spain, Austria, Britain on six different consumer goods in 2012. It is evident from the information provided that the UK was the country spending the largest amount money on the goods.
It can be observed that in Britain, the figure for cameras ranked first, with 170 thousand pounds (170 units), and was marginally ahead of toys with practically 168 units. There was marked difference in the amount of money spent on cosmetics and books, 160 units for the former, 162 units for the latter. Spending figures for console games and outdoor game accessories were similar which were about 156 units.
By contrast, Belgian spent the least overall, with the highest figure was for outdoor game accessories (150 units) and the amount of money for books came bottom (144 units). The remaining categories had similar spending figures which were hovering around 145 units.
It is also revealed that the Austrian spent the second highest amount of money on the first three products while they stood last on the latter three. In Spain, people spent more money on toys than on any other products (a bit less than 150 units).
