The information about the increase in the number of people who live in Australia is given in the pie charts. From the diagram it is obvious that in 2001 one of the most significant influence to the increase of the population was immigration.
If we look the given information about the total population of Australia, it is noticeable that effect of natural increase and immigration on the population growth was approximately the same. Obviously, natural increase is a little bit higher than immigrants.
The regions which mostly influenced on the growth of population were North and West Europe with the rate of 34%. Moreover, Asia and South and East Europe had also high percentages of the people who immigrated in Australia, 23% and 21% respectively. Immigrants from America and New Zealand were quite lower than the other regions mentioned above, approximately the same 8% and 9%. However, there was a region with the lowest rate, North Africa and Middle East 5%.
To sum up, due to the immigration population swelled significantly in 2001 in Australia.
