The graph below shows the number of complaint made about noises to Environmental Health authorities in the city of Newtown between 1980 and 1996.
The graph presents the number of noise complaints to Environmental Health agency in Newtown from 1980 to 1996. The x-axis represents the year while the y-axis indicates the number of complaints ranging from 0 to 1400.
Generally, domestic activity gave big contribution to the number of noise complaint from 1990 onwards. Whereas in the period between 1984 and 1990 factory got the highest complain and road works was the highest in the first four years.
The trend of domestic noise was remained stable until 1985, declined gradually and continued to rise from 1980 onwards. Factory noise complaint rose slightly from 400 in 1980 to about 650 noises in 1996. In term of road works activities that caused noise, the trend was declined from about 620 in 1980 to about 50 noises in 1996.
Uniquely, the graph of traffic was the only one that showed a growth movement that continued to rise from 1998 to 1996.
