Given is the chart providing statistical information about the proportion of weeks offered for maternity leave in various countries. It is apparent that except Spain all the countries of Europe differ with higher rates and the biggest number belongs to Sweden.
According to the chart, it is clear-cut that Sweden ranks the first with 98 weeks and is almost twice as much as its close follower Norway which accounts for 52 weeks. Italy, which indicates 48 weeks, is slightly higher than Finland and the UK which are 45 weeks and 40 weeks accordingly.
