Given are the graphs illustrating the number of men and women in both full and part-time job in Australia in the period of 20 years from 1973 to 1993
It is evident from the information provided that a similar pattern was seen in all type of occupation in each gender from 1973 to 1993, however, the figures for each age group varied greatly over the years.
To be more specific, rising from 15-19 age group to 35-39 one, the number of full-time males decreased markly in the oldest age group, to only 5% of 65+ years people in 1993. By stark contrast, a dramatic drop was seen in the number of part-time male through the age group, from 23% of 15-19 years old people to merely 5% of people with 65+ in that year.
Equally notable, the number of females from 19 to 59 in Australia in 1993 surpassed that in 1973 in term of full-time female, with 50% and 40% for 25-29, 45-55 age group respectively. Regading to part-time females job, the rate of women in this type of employment in 1993 dominated that number in 1973 in all age group.
