Increasing the patrol is the best way to solve growing traffic and pollution problems. What extent do you agree or disagree? what other measures do you think might be effective?

World population is increasing so as the traffic nowadays. It is a doubtful factor whether increasing patrol price is the best way to solve growing traffic and population. In my opinion, I agree to the statement to a certain extent.

First of all, going up patrol price will force people to consider using their own cars at all times. Instead of using cars, they may think of using public transports. Some people who wish to buy cars may hesitate buying cars if patrol price arises as they are afraid of not affording to pay for it. It is literally true that fewer cars will somehow lessen the pollution problems from getting worse. For instance, in singapore, car prices are very expensive for low paid workers in country to afford it so as to reduce the number of cars to control growing traffic.

However, patrol price is not single factor to measure growing traffic and pollution problems. There are other factors which need to be addressed in order to solve this issue. If driving cars is the only efficient transport mode, increasing patrol price will not stop traffic jam and pollution. If country have good public transport system, majority of people will be happy to use public transport. Furthermore, government can build the highways and overhead bridges to reduce this issue. Another required factor is to forecast number of increasing population of the country and prepare the necessities as both public or private transport should be able to control the growing population.

To summarize, increasing patrol will be able to reduce growing traffic and pollution problems to certain point but this will not be the only cause. Other measurable factors are required to address so as to control this problem as well.
