I strongly disagree with this view that success is due to hard work. My view point I would like to say on the outset itself like all great writers like William Shakespeare who tell their main idea in beginning itself. It is a common postulation, rather a misconception that success is due to hard work. Work of course hard work never. You do an enjoyable activity for specific era, or eras and it is something like a part of your being, not exactly work. While doing that activity, you take care od your body xnd study its rhythms, because by n9 nezns you cannit go against your body. The concept of hard work gives more emphasis to the result than the means to that and so the idea itself is a fallible one, and I think this has been transmitted to those unfortunate young folks from tine to tine by people whose vision is fragmented. In fact the society in the long run will not get perks by hard work, but intelligent work with proper rest. The same rule is applicable to individuals also.
So coming to that enjoyable activity-
One should like that, otherwise it is good to remake routes and find another pleasurable item from the plethora of stimulating subjects on earth.
Let us see, what happens to these advocates of hard work. They will grow in a certain neck of the woods and may find money or fame in the aforesaid course but they will suddenly fall out of favour from life's currents, which is supportive to good intentions in general and not hard work in special. They will probably face angst in other zones like relationships or social relevance.
So something unsuspecting comes in the middle of their journey and pulls them down, and these sorry mortals and not happy. First think, why are you fascinated towards hard work. Probably the mind is wired that way, and the fellow is unable ti go out of that unconscious grip.
Think what do you want in life- success or money or happiness. I would better choose the last of these items. In fact, behind every activity in chasing money ,you can find this search for success, unless you are paying your doctors bull.
So what is the point? Fortune favours fools, and this the word of the bard upon Avon, not mine. So do not work hard, day and night, it will only spoil your spine. You, neither the world will be benefited out of that labour. Work less. Relax more. Smell those rose often. Enjoy this little stay. Probably, you come here only once, Who knows- And dream too. Dream as often as possible. Dream big. Work of course, but remember that my idea, that was mentioned in the beginning- Enjoyable activity. And always do it in congenial settings. With friends, your living ones. Dear friend, don't ever imagine life as another surmountable mountain waiting for your climb. It is not so. You might be fooled by another who in turn was hoodwinked. That is a cycle we can break.
Your attitude to life decides the journey and the means adopted for that. See more rose gardens, if possible read those good books, talk to people who are wiser than you, enjoy those evening shows, and in the meantime find your purpose and passion. Who taught you that hard work is the criterion for success. Recommend him for an advanced coaching session from worthy humans. Meanwhile, do your duty and enjoy the journey. Remember the bard- Fortune favours fools.
