Given is the table providing information about consumer expenditure on different items in five countries in 2002.
It can be observed that Turkey ranked first with 32,14 % of consumption of foods, drinks and tobacco and was marginally ahead of Ireland, Spain , Italy and Sweden with percentage of 28,91 %, 18,80 %, 16,36 % and 15.77 % respectively. There also was marked difference on consumer spending on clothing and footwear among the given countries precisely, the biggest (9,00%) and the smallest (5,40 %) belongs to Italy and Sweden accordingly.
Referring to the table it also reveals that Turkey lead again with the greatest proportion (4,35 %) of national consumer expenditure on leisure and education. In this occasion Italy and Sweden showed practically the same amount ( around 3,20 %). In comparison with other countries Spain spent minimal quantity on these items, only 1,98 %.
Overall, it can be noted that the percentages fluctuated depending on indicated items and the given countries in 2002.
