The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Looking at the two diagrams give us a clear picture about the production process of cement and the steps to make a concrete for building purposes.
In the cement production diagram, it can be clearly seen that the raw material are limestone and clay. First, these materials are simultaneously crushed into powder, then continue into mixing process. The mixed materials come into the rotating heater where materials are heated into certain terperature and are continuously rotated to get the uniform shape. After heated, the raw materials are crushed again into smaller shape in grinding process. The final product is cement that will be packaged in cement bag. At the last, it is ready to be distributed in market.
For building purpose, cement is converted into concrete. To make it, the first step is making concrete composition which contains 15% cement, 10% water, 25% sand and 50% small stones or gravel. This composition then is being mixed in concrete machine. Finally, the concrete can be applied for construction purposes.
