The line graph illustrates the change of GDP in China in the span from 1978 to 2002. It is clear that in general China's economy is growing after the economic reform which was conducted in the year of 1978.
Immediately after the economic reform in 1978, the GDP of China steadied at 0. This situation maintained for almost 5 years when the GDP finally started to climb in the year of 1983. From 1983 on ward, however; China's economy increased slightly to 50000 million yuan in 1993. The years after 1993 have witnessed a substantial rise of China's GDP, which reached 7000 million yuan in 1996. After that the GDP of China experienced a gradual yet steady growth between year 1998 and 2002. In 2002, it peaked at around 100,000 million yuan.
Obviously, the above line chart demonstrates that after the economic reform, China's GDP has a significant and steady increasing trend.
