In 1957, the museum was built in the garden which located on the corner of Hartford street and Redcliff street with its entrance to the hall on Hartford street. Behind the hall there was a kitchen. The large area behind the hall and the kitchen was reserved as a public reading room. In the garden there was a large number of trees planted.

By 1987, the hall had been extended and covered the entire kitchen. And its entrance had also relocated to Redcliff street. In addition to this, the public reading room had been converted into a meeting room. Also, some big trees in the garden had been chopped down.

In 2007, the hall was remained unchanged, but the meeting room gained some land of the garden and expanded more than double in size. Another change was that all the tress in the garden were cut down to make way for a parking lot.

Overall, after 50 years the museum was completely modernized and the size of the museum was increased dramatically.
