ĐỀ BÀI: The line graph shows the number of people who used different communication services in the world.

Units: per 100 inhabitants

The given line graph depicts the number of people using 5 different kinds of services for communication purposes throughout the world over the period of 10 years from 1998 to 2008.

Overall, it is clear that the use of all means of communication surveyed showed an upward trend between 1998 and 2008, and Cellular phone service saw the most exponential rise in the number of people who used it as the way of communication.

In 1998, landline service was the most common method of communication in the world with around 15 users out of 100 people on average. The figures for cellular service and internet service were much lower at about 5 per 100 inhabitants, and there were almost no people using Fixed broadband and Mobile broadband in this year.

The number of Cellular phone service users, however, increased dramatically in the years latter, surpassing that of landline service in 2002 before reaching a peak at about 60 out of 100 inhabitants at the end of the period shown. Similarly, a rise was also seen in the cases of Internet service and Landline service with approximately 20 per 100 inhabitants in 2008 for each. The figures for Fixed broadband and Mobile broadband increased marginally but remained just under 5 per 100 inhabitants in the same year.
