The bar chart depicts the highest qualifications achieved by gender of working age in Wales during 2001-2002 years.

Significantly more females attained GCSE grade from A to C or equivalent that males, whereas the number of men finished GCE a-level is two times as many as women. By contrast, the least achievable qualification among both males and females is higher education, which is gotten by nearly as many men as women. The similar trend can be observed with other qualifications, which are slightly popular among males than females.

Moreover, approximately 23% of women had no qualifications at all, whilst almost half of this number finished any degree. Meanwhile, absence of qualifications was slightly less common among men, which was estimated to be exactly 20%. Furthermore, 14% of males attained Degree or qualification of equals worth.

On the whole, in 2001/ 2002 the highest number of working women finished GCSE level, and men of working age had mainly GCE A-level.
