The men age group 15 to 24 was the most active age group with 52.8 per cent, when age group 35 to 44 was the lowest one with 39,5 per cent respectively. Across the all other groups of men trends were very similar. The women had been peaking in age group 45 to 54 with 53.3 per cent, but group 55 to 64 had a result little bit lower of 53 per cent respectively.

There is clear from the data showed, that gaps between men and women raised in mid-age groups, where difference was about twelve per cent. However two age groups showed opposite results. The chart illustrates the percentage of australians who did regular physical activity at different ages in 2010.

We can observe that women generally did more physical activity than men at the different ages, except when they were between 15 and 24 years old in which the percentage of men was slightly higher than the women's one: respectively 52,8 % and 47,7 %. Whereas if we take into account the adulthood, portrayed between 25 and 55 years old in this chart, we can notice an exponential increase of women doing physical activity that reaches its peak between 45 and 54 years old: 53,3%. Even if the sharpest gap is depicted between 35 and 44 years old: 13%.

A contrasting scenario is visible approaching to the old age as we can ascertain an increase of physical activity for men and a fall for women. As a result that means a more balanced ratio between the two sexes which is almost equal for those who are over 65 years old. In fact the difference at this age is only of 0,4%.
